Difference Between Living Life And Not

The Difference Between Living Life And Not

living and not living

Not everyone has passion. Not everyone is moved emotionally by what they do. And, that’s extremely unfortunate. But fortunately, you are not like everyone else.

The winning organizations in each industry are loaded with enthusiastic, vocal, dynamic individuals (also, we have a ton of fun doing what we do). To us, it isn’t even truly “work” in the sense that it flows normally and feels more like innovative freedom.

I imagine that really energetic people are not comprehended by a significant part of the world. I’ll give you one illustration: I don’t sit in front of the TV any longer. I tell people this, and it feels like a large portion of them mentally file me in a classification of being peculiar or socially degenerate. The vast majority can’t understand a world without TV.

This is grievous, and altogether sad. We are at such a incredible turning point in society, and the world is improving because of individuals with enthusiasm. Consider this:

From Clay Shirky:

If you take Wikipedia as a kind of unit, all of Wikipedia, the whole project–every page, every edit, every talk page, every line of code, in every language that Wikipedia exists in–that represents something like the cumulation of 100 million hours of human thought. I worked this out with Martin Wattenberg at IBM; it’s a back-of-the-envelope calculation, but it’s the right order of magnitude, about 100 million hours of thought.

And television watching? Two hundred billion hours, in the U.S. alone, every year. Put another way, now that we have a unit, that’s 2,000 Wikipedia projects a year spent watching television. Or put still another way, in the U.S., we spend 100 million hours every weekend, just watching the ads. This is a pretty big surplus. People asking, “Where do they find the time?” when they’re looking at things like Wikipedia don’t understand how tiny that entire project is, as a carve-out of this asset that’s finally being dragged into what Tim calls an architecture of participation.

The world is moving, and where before learned people used to be isolated and work on projects in a vacuum, now new social devices are permitting them to cooperate on profound works that is of advantage to everybody. Imagine, a gathering of complete strangers cooperating to make something unbelievable, rousing and valuable – all for free, and all because of immaculate inner inspiration and craving to help the world.

It is safe to say that you are a piece of a worldwide venture like Wikipedia? Or, on the other hand, worldwide discussions about what you do professionally or are interested in personally? If not, you ought to be – the tools exist to interface with incredible personalities in our world, learn from them, and get improved results and get motivation for whatever you are doing.

Sorry in case you’re a TV watcher, however if you watch more than a little amount, it is a misuse of life. I don’t intend to irritate you, but consider it: you are given a short lived measure of time to physically exist on this planet and accomplish something to improve things, and after that you are no more. By staring at the TV for unlimited hours, you’re misusing life, the most previous blessing there is.

By sitting in front of the TV you make the ultimate sacrifice – you could read, composing, making art, or really connecting with your companions, family and different experts in your industry. Would you rather glance back at a life spent inactively retaining nonsense, or one spent improving the world and making what inspires you. The decision is obvious.

I feel like most of you here don’t squander your life passively, so this post isn’t generally for you. You’re as of now inspired and motivated. Forward this to a friend who isn’t.

This is what most people in the society do:

  • Get up in the morning
  • Work, thinking inside the lines the whole day
  • Returned home
  • Sit in front of the TV
  • Rest

It is a by and large unremarkable existence. Also, those people most likely create ultimately unremarkable outcomes and have normal lives.

In the event that you get up in the morning and aren’t motivated each day to devote yourself completely to your work and life with 100% enthusiasm, you’re not living it. I don’t see how somebody can live even one day like this.

Maybe they’re in the wrong field, or have lost that innovative start. In any case, there is no other route for really intelligent people to live other than taking a dynamic, enthusiastic part in life and emptying their spirit into something that motivates them.

The planet is billions of years old, and your life-span is just an astronomical blink. There’s not a day to squander.

8 approaches to shop your own closet

shop closet

Thinking of another outfit implies spending cash and purchasing new dresses from the shops? Reconsider. There’s most likely more in your wardrobe than you understand…

How often have you looked in your closet and thought ‘I don’t have anything to wear’? It’s something I do practically each and every day.

In any case, it doesn’t need to be that way.

As indicated by style mentors Alicia Kite and Kay Davidson of Alicia|KayStyle, you truly can go shopping in your own closet.

“Style begins with recognizing what your individual identity and look is.

“By taking a gander at what you have in your closet, and making it buckle down for you, you can look and feel great consistently without hitting the shops,” says Kay.

Here’s the manner by which to save cash by following Alicia and Kay’s recommendation and shopping your own wardrobe…

Step by step instructions to organize your current closet

Alica and Kay say the initial step is to arrange what you as of now have: “We ensure there are things in your closet that you’ve disregarded – and once you know precisely what you have, you can get innovative, pulling together things you haven’t worn together some time recently.”

They propose the most ideal way is to put all things in their own type – for instance, all shirts together, all skirts, all blouses et cetera. What’s more, to dependably give every thing its own hanger, so you can observe what you have.

Dresses don’t fit or dislike the style now? Have them customized

“On the off chance that you have a cloth in your closet you never wear, consider shortening it and making it into a top,” clarifies Alicia.”Or consider tailoring at the waist to give the thing another look that will compliment your individual shape. Fitting can totally change a square shaped or over sized thing into something more complimenting and wearable,” she includes.

Re-innovate a formal dress for casual wear

Event wear, such as wedding outfits, can be a bad dream – you wear something once, then have no other explanation to give it an airing.

So Kay exhorts that you reconsider it, checking whether you can wear it for more casual events.

“Group the coat with a more casual cloth or pants,” she recommends. “A luxurious dress can look stunning with a leather biker as a differentiation of styles. Isolating the wedding outfit into individual pieces, and mixing and coordinating these with different things you have, will give your dresses another lease of life and create a large group of new outfit mixes.”

Attempt new colour combination

LOOK FASHIONABLE

Try not to be hesitant to attempt new or distinctive colour blends to what you ordinarily wear. Notwithstanding presenting a colour embellishment can change an outfit.

“Attempt a naval force move dress with orange shoes, and convey a brilliant green sack for a fun and better approach to restore a work of art,” proposes Kay.

“In the event that you have loads of prints in your closet, take a stab at mixing prints of an alternate scale yet in similar colours together. This is truly simple to do with black or white prints, yet can function admirably for lively print mixes as well.

“You can wear spots and stripes in a similar outfit – yet to keep it looking sharp, stick to comparable base colours or a similar print in an alternate scale. A top with substantial spots can be worn with pants in a little spot for maximum style.”

Layer, layer, layer (it will make you look thinner!)

Layering things is an extraordinary for making new looks from your closet, and for making you look slimmer.

In the event that your knitwear is somewhat short, wearing a more extended layer under it can give it an alternate look and is an extraordinary method for making your bottom look firmer and slimmer. Wearing a long sleeved T-shirt or shirt under a sleeveless shift dress will give the dress a totally unique look. Coordinate it in a comparable colour for a subtler look, or run striking with a solid differentiating colour.

Keep your dresses in tip-best condition

Kay and Alicia prescribe knitwear hangers to stop your dresses getting to be noticeably extended and twisted – and frequently treating shoes and bags with a defensive splash to repel marks and water stains.

“Taking care of your dresses implies they’ll look like new every time you wear them and means you can abstain from investing energy, exertion and cash to find substitutions.” (see beautiful outfits here)

Embellishments can make an outfit look new

You don’t have to spend a fortune on embellishments for them to totally change an outfit.

As Alicia says: “They’re a simple approach to express your style or explore different avenues regarding something new, be it a colour or pattern that you need to attempt.

know your jewelry

“Layering comparative pieces of necklaces that are distinctive lengths gives an altogether different look to wearing each all alone. Have a go at wrapping a long necklace around your neck a few times, and wear it inside a shirt so just a little is visible – or even transform a mid-length necklace into a bracelet by wrapping it a couple times around your wrist. In case you’re truly tricky, you can re-string a n as two separate arm ornaments.” (see beautiful necklaces here)

Work out the ‘cost per-wear’ for every thing you purchase

“When you are taking a gander at making new outfits and you locate the odd missing thing, make a note of what it is. This turns into your shopping records and means not any more meandering around the shops heedlessly, uncertain of what you truly require,” says Kay.

“Once you’ve constructed your shopping list, consider what number of different things will that cloth work with. And after that consider how frequently you will wear that cloth. Cost per-wear is an extraordinary decider of whether you truly require it – and how much cash you ought to spend on something.

“For one individual, the cost of a couple of jeans could be £250. Ouch! In any case, if those pants are worn twice per week for 36 weeks of the year, cost per-wear is modest. Then again, on the off chance that you purchase a couple of pants at a similar cost, yet wear them just 10 times each year, they’re costly.

“Continuously consider your way of life and you’re dress spending plan before acquiring new things.”

How to Care for your Jewelry

How to Care for your Jewelry

caring for jewelry

So you got yourself a set of jewelry from our shine-baby-shine collection and you were wondering “how do I care for my jewelery set?” No problems. In this post, i’ll be showing you how you can effectively care for your jewelery and keep it shining.

1. Keep your shine-baby-shine jewelery clean and dry

clean jewelry

The most practical steps to maintain your jewelery are quite often the easy steps. After that special occasion, having to remove that piece of jewelery, cleaning it with soft dry clothe to maintain its shine might be a tedious task as your body wants to jump right into the shower. It is advisable you clean your jewelery and store it in its case before you hit the showers (as you are likely to tamper it with not-totally-dry hands). And don’t forget, lotions and creams can react chemically to some metals (like copper, brass and bronze).

2. Store your jewelery carefully

store jewelry

Maybe you purchased the radiant set and it all looks beautiful, shiny and you can’t get enough of its beauty, you slept-off admiring it. You wake-up in the morning feeling a little prick of pain. You lifted yourself up to discover “I laid on my jewelery”. Trust me, this does happen and you would′nt want to be “caught on the wrong-side of the bed”. In order to avoid tarnishing, chipping and excessive wear, it is advisable you store your jewelery individually.

3. Keep jewelery away from excessive heat

keep jewelry from excess heat
Hey, your jewelery are mostly made of metals. These metals were crafted under certain temperatures to give their dinstinct feel, color and design. Gold for one is very malleable. Heat, over time, and in excess can also fade or damage some gemstones, such as amethyst, kunzite, topaz and shell cameos. Pearls and other delicate materials, such as ivory, will bleach under extreme exposure to light. Other gems, especially amber, can darken over time when exposed to too much light. Wouldn’t you love to bequeath some wonderful piece to your grand-child as a memento?

4. Remove when not in use

removing-jewelry
I know you love to admire the regal set but you have to put it in its place when not in use. Its beautifully crafted pieces locked in with utmost sophistication would make you dance with it for hours but “you gotta let the lady lie”. When not in use it is best advised they are kept away in order to prevent incidence of chipping and/or tarnishing. Never go to sleep with fashion jewelry on, it is a sure way to damage it, to make it tarnish more quickly or even break it. And besides damaging your jewelry, it could also color, injure or scratch your skin. This advice also applies when you exercise, when you go to the pool etc. The green traces left on the skin (particularly by fashion rings) are due to a chemical reaction between the metal and the acidity of the skin. The sweat will naturally tend to amplify it. Finally, for any activity that does not require the presence of costume jewelry, go without!

5. Wear your costume jewelry occasionally

put on jewelry
Do not forget to give your costume jewelry a little break from time to time. Fashion jewelry is usually not meant to be worn every day. Therefore, if you wear the same pieces of jewelry on a daily basis, you might see discoloration coming quickly. To preserve the life of your jewelry, change it as often as possible by varying the outfits. As they are pretty affordable, do not hesitate to buy for example two or three fashion necklaces in the same style and alternate them.

Don’t you just stare in admiration when you see a piece of jewelery that is a lot older than you? There is this reverent awe you feel when you grasp it in your hand.I’m sure you would love to have your jewelery command such reverence. So i say “a jewelery well cared is money well-spent”.

In my last post, I wrote on how jewelery came about. I also wrote on its uses and the messages they were created to convey as ancient times.

Well, these days we majorly buy jewelries that follow trends. Now don’t go all berserk on me, fashionable trends are fine, but much of what you’ll call trendy have actually existed. For example, the chokers which are beginning to trend (again) have actually been in use since the 90’s. (i’m talking before 1960’s).

One of the ancient uses of jewelery was for identity. Are you passionate and fearless, you probably would love red-gold jewelries. Do you love simplicity and utterly get bored when you see anything complex? Then, get a jewelery with simple designs. You see, jewelery is all about YOU (Your Uniqueness)

Its about what brings out the beauty in you. When I look in your eyes, I see the beauty radiating from within amplified by the beauty without, forming a unique blend of overall awesomeness. Jewelery has a voice and it does speak. Make your  jewelery speak well of you and you never know when your style trends.

love jewelry

How Did We Come To Love Jewelry?

HOW DID WE COME TO LOVE JEWELRY?

love jewelry

No kidding. You’re not alone in this. To answer this question, i’ll have to share with you, the history of jewelery.  Jewelery, (any decorative piece worn for personal adornment) has been in use as far as recorded human history.

It all began when the early humans began settling into communities. In this early period, minerals and metals were not in existence and jewelry items, such as preliminary form of necklaces and bracelets, were made by using bone, animal teeth, shell, wood, and carved stone.

But after the discovery and extraction of minerals and metals, people started using gems and metals in jewelry items. These have greatly evolved to the sophisticated gemstones, socketed with utmost precision and worn to weddings and special occasions by you and me (so you see you are making history).

Jewelry had always been used as a means of communication- either to accentuate beauty, achievement, class(example being the ancient priests), power, status or symbol.

Three ancient civilisations have contributed to the evolution of jewelery to the expression of art and craft that it is now; India, Egypt and the Chinese.

Egypt

Egyptian Jewelry

The first sign of crafted gold jewelry in ancient Egypt was around 3,000-4,000 years ago. In combination with gold jewelry, Egyptians mainly used colored glass instead of precious gems, as they preferred glass colors more to the natural colors of gems. For nearly each gemstone available that time, there was a glass formulation used by the Egyptians to imitate it.

In Egypt, jewelry was a symbol of power and wealth and worn by wealthy Egyptians throughout their life and after their death these jewelry items were placed among grave goods. Egypt and Mesopotamia set standards in metallurgy (study of the physical and chemical behavior of metallic elements), gem collecting, and glass manufacture. Their several thousand year long tradition of jewelry production laid a solid foundation for all European civilizations that came after them, and their unique style affected fashion trends even four thousand years later.

India

jewelry

India is considered the first country to mine diamonds dated back 300 BC and involved in a continuous development process of jewelry making. Before 2100 BC, the natives of the Indus Valley Civilization used to trade jewelry beads as that time, metals were not widely used in jewelry items. In the Indus Valley, jewelry beads were made by using some simple techniques which also involved heating and polishing of a stone for color improvement. By 1500 BC, the natives of the Indus Valley were using metals such as gold to create earrings, necklaces, rings, bead necklaces and metallic bangles. In the Indus Valley, women wore jewelry items like gold rings, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, brooches, chokers, forehead bands etc. Unlike many other ancient cultures, Indus Valley jewelry was never buried with the dead and natives of Indus Valley used to pass these to their children or family members.

China

Chinese jewelry

As one of the oldest civilizations in the world, China started producing jewelry around 5000 year ago during the rise of Yang-Shao and Lungshanoid cultures in the delta of river Yangtze. As the time went on their civilization grew, and new jewelry designs rose to such popularity that all the Asian surrounding countries soon found themselves under heavy influence of Chinese culture which preferred silver over gold, and jade over any other precious gemstone.

Chinese jewelry designs focused greatly on the use of Jade, which was viewed as a stone who has best human qualities of hardiness, durability and beauty. It was thought that jade protects the bearer as a talisman, and it provided status symbol that indicated grace, dignity and morality of the owner. Jade was held in such high regard that it was more precious than gold and new techniques of jewel making were introduced because of it and not gold or other precious metal (such as 7th to 4th century BC ring making technique of compound milling machine, which appeared in the rest of the world many centuries later).

Recent Times

By the 17th century, the Renaissance and exploration had vital impacts on the growth of jewelry. At these times, it began to feature as a very important part of fashionable clothing. By this time, wide ranges of gemstones were available due to increase in exploration and trade. In 17th century, craftsmen studied as well as explored many ancient cultures and made some important technical improvements in gemstone cutting, which helped in enhancing the popularity of gemstone jewelry. Beautiful floral art was on peak at that time and flower designing became a dominant theme for fine jewelry.

By the 18th century, diamond jewelry became very popular and began to express changing trends in fashion. In this period, some new stone setting styles including prong setting was invented which multiplied the brilliancy of a diamond.

In the 19th century, the Industrial Revolution brought enormous change to the whole world including jewelry industry. Mass production of jewelry and concept of imitation stones made jewelry available to everyone. In this period, jewelry and jewelry accessories became very popular even in middle and lower classes.

In the 20th century and afterwards, jewelry reached onto new highs and now is available in more stylish and trendy forms. This century was characterized by the beginning of a new era in jewelry making. New technological improvements in stone cutting, polishing and setting were developed as well as new metals such as platinum and palladium were used in jewelry. In addition, new casting technologies along with new sophisticated machinery allowed for the production of more versatile jewelry by using different patterns, shapes and styles.

In today’s world, jewelry has become part of our day-to-day life and our culture. Now jewelry making has improved exceptionally well due to involvement of computers and technology but still maximum cutting, polishing and finishing work of a gemstone is done manually by experts.

Shades of gold

shades of gold

So you love gold, I love gold.  If you don’t love gold, can I see your hands up? (i see no hands, great!!).Gold comes in different colors but did you know pure gold actually has only one true color? Pure gold is very yellow in color. Pure gold is also very malleable( it can be scratched, pounded, bent, stretched, you catch my drift). This makes pure gold not ideal for jewelery especially if you are going to add gemstones to it. Gold in its pure form is 24K(k stands for karat or carat) that is 99.9% gold.

The question now pops to mind: ‟I thought I heard there is white gold”, or ‟I sure have seen pink gold”. Yes, you are definitely spot-on. Infact, i’m going to add mine: there’s blue gold, rose gold, black gold (wait-a-minute, not crude oil) and even green gold. You see, the various other colors of gold jewelry are a product of the various metals used to harden the gold. The Karat(percentage of gold) are usually standardized into:

  • 24k Gold is 99.9% Pure Gold
  • 22k Gold is 91.6% Gold
  • 20k Gold is 83.3% Gold
  • 18k Gold is 75% Gold
  • 14k Gold is 58.5% Gold
  • 10k Gold is 41.7% Gold

In the USA, the gold below 10 karat purity (0.417 gold) is not allowed to be sold as a gold jewelry. The most common types of gold in the U.S is the 14 karat gold. 20 to 22 karat is more desired in Europe.

The various colors of gold you find around you are actually alloys of gold (various metals combined with gold to give its desired color). The Karat nature (purity of gold measurement) is the amount of gold in the jewelry piece. So you can have various colors with different karats (except, of course, 24 karat).

Do you love white gold? White is basically a combination of pure gold with a naturally white metal like nickel, palladium or manganese. Standard white gold is 58.5% gold purity.

I love Green gold. It is a combination of gold and silver. Usually (73% gold).

Hmmm, ladies love pink, rose and red gold. These types of gold are manifest as a result of combinations (at different percentages) with copper. For example, common rose gold is 75% (18k) gold. Red gold is 12 karat gold (50% gold, 50% copper).  The darker the red, the higher the copper.

I Know you’d love to know about *black gold. ‟Is it gold mixed with crude?”(I can’t help but squeeze in a giggle”. Black gold is gold combined with cobalt. Ideal is 18k with 25% cobalt.

So whatever your choice of gold, you can still get quality gold, spiced with a color variant to give you that exotic look and make you undoubtedly shine. So which would you love to have? You can check out our collections.

Why Jewelry enhances the real you.

Jewelry enhances the real you.

jewelry

You are beautiful, but you can be stunning inside and out. Life is a gift that should be shared with others. It is more important to be inspired by the people you meet and the world around you rather than just being fashion-forward. When it comes to jewelry don′t follow a trend, but instead, follow your own path and purpose in life.

Behind the make-up, the nails, the lashes, ear-rings, neck-laces and bracelets, fashionable clothes, lies the bare you. That’s the meat of the matter (pun intended). Just within the body is the real you. When you look at yourself in the mirror, what do you see? Are you bold and confident, do you love yourself?

Jewelry

You need to believe in yourself, loving yourself and your beauty would shine forth. Its not the skin that defines you, neither is it the jewelry that makes you. You have to feel good about yourself so that others can feel good about you. You have to love yourself so that others can love you. The energy you emit is the energy you attract. Love yourself and others will love you for that. Then put on the mascara, the lashes , the ear-rings , the fashionable clothes and the jewelry.

What makes you shine through is actually what is within. You wear the jewelry, you don’t allow the jewelry wear you. Your beauty, confidence(or whatever it is you want to project) shines forth through the jewelry and we at Sheila Blackstar ltd aren′t just about jewelries but providing opportunities for the inner beauty to expressed outside. So wherever you go,‟ Shine baby shine”. see beautiful jewelry collection here
